Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies when you browse DemoSelect, create a buyer account, enquire about a vehicle, request finance or related support, apply as a dealer, use a dealer or administrator portal, or contact us. DemoSelect acts as the responsible party for the marketplace interactions described here. The registered operating-entity and designated Information Officer details must be confirmed in the production version of this policy.

Information We May Collect
The information depends on the service you choose. We aim to collect only what is reasonably required for that purpose.
Vehicle Journey
Vehicle searches, comparisons, saved vehicles, quote requests, reservation interest and service preferences.
Finance Enquiry
Employment category, income and expense bands, intended deposit and preferred term for first-stage coordination. Do not submit bank passwords, card PINs or unnecessary identity documents.
Dealer & Business
Dealership identity, representatives, compliance records, stock information and portal activity.
Transaction & Support
Enquiry history, quotations, consents, communications, uploaded records and transaction milestones.
Technical Information
Basic device, browser, security, session and diagnostic information used to operate and protect the platform.

Processing is connected to a stated marketplace, support, security or legal purpose.
- Provide accounts, searches, comparisons and saved-vehicle features.
- Record and qualify quote, reservation, finance and service enquiries.
- Connect an enquiry with the appropriate supplying dealer after the required consent and allocation steps.
- Support quotations, transaction records, delivery milestones and buyer assistance.
- Approve and administer participating dealerships and protected portal access.
- Prevent fraud, secure the platform, investigate incidents and maintain audit records.
- Meet accounting, contractual, regulatory and lawful reporting obligations.
- Improve services using aggregated or appropriately de-identified information where practical.

Our Processing Grounds
For optional enquiries, requested introductions, direct marketing where required, and other consent-led activities. Consent may be withdrawn, subject to processing already lawfully completed.
When information is needed to provide a requested platform feature, administer an account, or take steps connected with a potential transaction.
When records must be processed or retained to meet applicable law, lawful requests, tax, accounting or compliance duties.
For proportionate security, fraud prevention, service administration and improvement where those interests do not unjustifiably override your privacy rights.

Retention
Records are kept only for the relevant operational, contractual, audit or legal period, then securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where appropriate. Final retention periods must be confirmed in DemoSelect’s production retention schedule.
Security
DemoSelect uses role-based access, protected sessions, audit records and other reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security.
Cross-border processing
If information is processed outside South Africa, DemoSelect will use a lawful POPIA mechanism and appropriate protection before the transfer takes place.

DemoSelect may use essential session and security technologies required for login, fraud prevention, form protection and core functionality. Any optional analytics or marketing technology should be documented and consent-managed before production activation.
